How to Load Bible Stories onto a Creative Tonie (Step-by-Step)
Share
Everything you need to turn a blank Creative Tonie into a screen-free Bible story your child can play again and again.
If you have a Toniebox, you already know why kids love it: no screens, no menus, just a soft little figurine your child sets on top, and a story begins. The official Tonies are wonderful, but the real magic for a faith-filled home is the Creative Tonie — a blank figurine you can fill with any audio you like, including Bible stories. Here is exactly how to do it.
What you'll need
- A Toniebox (set up and connected to your home Wi-Fi)
- A Creative Tonie (the blank figurine, sold separately in lots of colors)
- The free myTonies app on your phone (or the myTonies website on a computer)
- The audio files you want to load — for example, a Tiny Testaments Bible story download
That's it. The first time takes about five minutes. After that, swapping in a new story takes seconds.
Step 1: Get your Bible story audio ready
When you buy a Tiny Testaments story, you receive an instant digital download — an MP3 file (or files) saved to your phone or computer. Keep that file somewhere easy to find, like your Downloads folder. If you bought a bundle, you'll have several MP3s; you can load a whole shelf of stories onto a single Creative Tonie.
Step 2: Open the myTonies app and pick your Creative Tonie
Open the myTonies app and sign in. You'll see all the Tonies linked to your Toniebox. Tap your Creative Tonie — the blank one you want to fill. If it's brand new, hold it on top of your Toniebox once so the app recognizes it.
Step 3: Upload the story
Inside your Creative Tonie, tap the + (or "Add content") button and choose to upload a file. Find the Bible story MP3 you saved in Step 1 and select it. You can add more than one file if you'd like several stories on the same Tonie — just add them one after another, and drag to put them in the order you want.
Step 4: Let it sync to the Toniebox
Once your files are uploaded, place the Creative Tonie on top of your Toniebox. As long as the box is connected to Wi-Fi, it will download the new story automatically. You'll hear a little chime, and a small icon shows the progress. When it's done, you're ready.
Step 5: Press play
Set the Creative Tonie on the Toniebox and the story begins. Tip the box gently to skip ahead or go back, and adjust the volume with the ears. Your child can now play their Bible story any time, all on their own, with no screen in sight.
A few helpful tips
- Wi-Fi only for loading. New content downloads over Wi-Fi, so do the first sync at home. After that, the story lives on the Toniebox and plays anywhere, even in the car.
- One Tonie, many stories. A Creative Tonie holds up to about 90 minutes of audio — plenty of room for several Tiny Testaments episodes on one figurine.
- Re-use anytime. You can clear a Creative Tonie and load something new whenever you like, so one figurine can grow with your child.
